Tell us about your upstart business: Kids N Caboodle is the name of my consignment business that I had in MA. for over 20 years. I moved to Henderson, NV and worked in various customer care positons for several years. I missed owning my own company and being my own boss. I decided to start Kids N Caboodle, an online personalized baby shoe company because I am familiar with soft sole baby shoes and believe in the products that I am selling. I found three great companies to work with called Bouges from Van Couver, BC, Crochet Kisses, from Chicago and Soft Sole from Montreal, Canada. All three companies had excellent customer care reports and excellent qualaity products. I found a fantastic web design company called Jennifer Web Design out of Las Vegas, NV. They were great to work with, had great customer service and excellent web site production skills. They also steered me to very reasonablly priced web hosting companies, 800 phone companies etc. They helped optimize my site as well and I felt that they were fairly priced for a custom site. I am frugal, but if you want an online site, I believe that professional design work is vital. I have done my own pr distribution and free ad distribution.

My company's main customers will be mom's and grandparents. However, the personalized baby gift market is open to everyone. The main theme of my company is personalizing your gift to let the recipients know that they were thought about Personally.

What do you see in the future for your upstart? I am looking forward to selling lots of personalized baby shoes and baby booties, and having happy loyal customers. Even with the economy as it is people want to give baby gifts and keepsake gifts to friends and relatives.

How has the current economy affected your upstart? Yes, I am now planning a coupon campaign that I had not planned on doing before.

Write your own press releases for your launch. Go to Naked PR.com and they have a list of good free pr sites.
Check out press releases that have been accepted and follow a proper formant. Write informative articles in blog format to get your area of expertise out there.
Go Daddy is the only way to go in my opinion. Before you call them find a coupon code on line and you can save even more money giving the code. Go Daddy has excellent prices and very good packgages for web building. Kall8 is a wonderful bargain for 800 phone number.
Do not spend money on anything that is not needed. Watch your cash and be frugal.
