Tell us about your upstart business:
NYCJobFeeds.com was born on a sweltering hot night this past July. I was looking for a job in New York City and would log into 12-15 different job search sites daily. What a waste of time! Normally, I would only search the big sites like Monster or Careerbuilder but there was always that one job posting on a smaller search site that always kept me going back.

I had this idea while surfing my favorite site, popurls.com, a popular news aggregator that displays news on one page. Why couldn’t I develop a site where New York City job searches could be displayed on one page? Well with some research, blood, sweat and tears later NYCJobFeeds.com is born.

A visitor can search up to 14 different job sites with one search field. Jobs are then displayed and the visitor can either click on the job and be transferred to that relevant job site page or they could click the plus sign to add to “Your Jobs” for later.

Becoming recognized as a real tool for job searching.

What do you see in the future for your upstart?:
I hope to one day be THE portal for job searching in New York City. With the highest unemployment rate in years, I hope to help people find work as fast as possible. Also, if this works well in this market, I would love to grow to other major US markets.

How has the current economy affected your upstart?:
I hope my site will help the jobless in this economy.
