People find their dream and create a new reality in Start up Now workshops. Together with the eFactory (a co-working and collaboration environment for entrepreneurs) and We Are America's Bailout, Start Up Now takes entrepreneurs from strangers to sustainable success. Start Up Now:
Gathers up to 15 displaced or unemployed people

  • Taps into the experience and expertise of those people to formulate business ideas
  • Discusses each business idea to develop a mutual understanding of all business ideas
  • Selects one business idea by simple majority vote to achieve ‘consensus’
  • Develops an Experience Map™ of the proposed operations of a company to implement the idea
  • Solidifies commitment and involvement of all interested SUN workshop participants to make a business together as equal partners in the proposed company.

To ensure the company formed in this 6-hour workshop continues through to launch, Start Up Now offers a structured project management program to take the newly formed business by the hand and walk them through every step of the formation process from LLC filing to business plan creation, financial modeling, funding and all project management through to launch (we are then available to stay on as business advisers if so desired).
We ARE crazy so we do not charge a dime for any of these services until, and only when and if, the new business receives some sort of funding (self or other).

What do you see in the future for your upstart? We would like to take Start Up Now across the country. We are offering for individuals who want to bring Start Up Now to their city to start offering these workshops for no initial fee, just a percentage of revenues. While right now is the most important time for Start Up Now to exist, we expect that people will always want to start businesses and we hope to always be there to help and encourage them to do so.

How has the current economy affected your upstart? he economy is the motivation for our upstart. We teamed up with We Are America's Bailout to provide our own bailout by encouraging and supporting entrepreneurially-minded individuals to move forward with their dreams. Fortunes are made in a recession and we want to help those fortunes turn into reality.
