Tell us about your upstart business: We decided to start the2200 to combat the mountains of "Reverse Bid Auction" type websites that freelancers and other service providers are currently stuck with. Our site provides an environment where projects are awarded based on quality of design over quantity of undercutting.
Our site brings together two groups of people- Service Buyers or "Clients" and Service Providers or "Designers."

How are you funding your upstart?: Investors
What do you see in the future for your upstart? We have plans for expanding our service to mobile platforms. Additionally, we expect to reach a larger audience as the pool of freelancers grow with the shrinking economy.
How has the current economy affected your upstart? In a surprisingly positive way. The response from freelancers and small businesses alike has been overwhelming. Freelance designers are constantly in search of their next project, and given the current economy they are finding themselves competing more and more everyday. Small businesses have turned to us as a low cost solution to large advertising firms.
Recommended services / advice: Find a good business partner. Find a silent investor. Find a cold Red Bull. Stay positive and take everything a day at a time.
